Mail taking longer to receive on MacBook Pro than iPhone or iPad.
My exchange mail is received on my iPhone and iPad about 30sec - 1min before it is received on my MacBook Pro. Why?
MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4), 16GB RAM

Ask your ISP.
It's not an ISP issue as there was no delay when using my old HP laptop running Windows 7
In your Mail preferences how often do you have it set to check for mail? The minimum is every minute. So unless you're sitting and clicking on the Get Mail button every second what's the problem?
It's set to one minute. I have 3 exchange accounts set up, and on the iPhone and iPad, each message is pushed directly to the device, which is received quicker than the MacBook. Is this normal?

Same things happens to me, about a 30 second delay. Gets to the iPhone first, then the Mac.
It's annoying. I don't understand why it does it either.
I didn't realize that 30 seconds is something to be annoyed about. Perhaps in a future OS it'll get pushed in minus time.😁

I agree, very annoying.. The delay since upgrading the OS to Yosemite and selecting the automatic option is ridiculously delayed now.
I thought the automatic feature was for instant push notifications, especially with Apples iCloud accounts?
I think the Exchange EWS server delay is solved in macOS Sierra's Mac Mail! Actually, I think it's faster than my hardwired Windows 7 laptop running Outlook 2016, sitting right next to it!
